The Homebased Early Childhood Association in conjuction with Penelope Janes (Barnardos) and Liz Everiss (NZ Open Polytechnic) as representative of the Strategic Working Party presented the final version of the Homebased ECE Strategic Plan to the Minister of Education the Honorable Anne Tolley on Wednesday 8 April 2009. A first draft was presented orally to the Hon Chris Carter, then Minister of Education, and the Ministry of Education at the end of the TRCC course in September 2008. Since then there has been wide consultation with the sector and feedback from the sector has been incorporated into the final Strategic Plan. The Minister went through the goals and strategies in the Strategic Plan step by step with the group.
