Types of Membership and Fees

There are two types of membership, individual and organisation. The fees for each are

• Individual: $50/annum (inc GST)
• Organisation: $200/annum (inc GST) for the first 3 homebased networks, and an additional $20 per network thereafter.

To Become a member of the association please download the membership form at the bottom of this page. Your membership will be confirmed on receipt of your subscription and the completed membership form.

Benefits of Membership

• Voice heard at Ministry Level - The Executive meet regularly with the Ministry of Education to discuss any issues affecting the sector. Members of the Executive are invited onto working parties and consultation groups.
• Input on policy development - The Executive rely on feedback from members to ensure the Ministry have accurate information as to what is happening in Homebased Early Childhood Education.
• Credibility - The Association are members of ECAC (Early Childhood Advisory Council) and the Early Education Federation.
• Annual National Conference - Enjoy professional development while networking with others across the country. The 2006 conference is to be held in Auckland.
• Membership discounts - Attend conference at the discounted member rate.
• Receive a bi-monthly newsletter - Newsletters include information on what’s happening in the sector. Regular updates on ECAC and Early Ed Fed, ward updates etc.
• Buying Groups - Organisation Members can join a buying group to access toys and equipment with group discounts.
• Support - networking with colleagues, regular ward meetings, opportunities to discuss issues and have them heard at national level. The Executive is available to support individual members with any issues.
• Tax Calculator - for educators to calculate their taxable income, right here on our website.
• Insurance Package - the Association has had a group insurance scheme tailor-made for educators in Homebased Early Childhood Education. It includes indemnity insurance and health insurance as well as home and contents.
